Capsule Wardrobe eLearning
The convenience and vast amount of information available on the internet have arguably rendered many content-heavy learning courses obsolete. Learners are more inclined to save lengthy content for future reading rather than absorbing it all at once. One of the most popular and replicated topics of the early 2010s was the concept of building a “capsule wardrobe.” As someone with a background in wardrobe styling, I found this topic particularly intriguing. However, with the abundance of blog posts, how-to guides, and mobile apps available on capsule wardrobes, I felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information.
To address this, I set out to create an interactive module that presented the material in an easy-to-follow format, tailored specifically to provide learners with information relevant to their lifestyle. I also ensured that the module was concise, offering links and references to additional resources based on the learner’s inputs, rather than being overloaded with content.
This self-paced microlearning module contained the following features:
A home page that allows the learner to select from three topics based on their level of expertise.
A one-page overview for each topic, with links to more detailed online resources.
A reflective section that helps the learner build a capsule wardrobe based on personalized questions about their lifestyle, offering links to relevant resources.
A minimalist, fashion-forward graphic design.
This approach ensures that the module isn't overloaded with content but instead offers a streamlined learning experience, with additional information available based on the learner's input.
